Rabbit Awareness Week 2016 Has Been Announced

Rabbit Awareness Week

Get your diaries out or write these dates down in your phone, because you’re not going to want to forget them. Rabbit Awareness Week is running from 18th -20th June, 2016. It’s the 10th anniversary and it’s a fantastic time to get your rabbits checked over, share tips and advice with your family and friends and simply give rabbits some attention that they truly deserve.

There will be lots of events going on throughout RAW. You’ll be able to take your rabbits for health checks, learn about the correct care at the educational events and celebrate at in-store events too. The veterinary practices that are involved will not be charging anything for the health checks, so everyone can take advantage and make sure their pets are happy and healthy. It’s also a fantastic reminder for rabbit owners to get their pets vaccinated, killing two birds with one stone. You won’t be obligated to have vaccinations, but it’s a great way of getting the job done.

Get Involved in RAW

Vets, rescue centres and retailers are being encouraged to get involved too. 166 events are already scheduled to take place during RAW but there’s never too many events going on that raise awareness for rabbits. Experts can register to take part here, and you’ll be provided with a RAW 2016 support pack, tips and hints on advertising the RAW event and lots of training downloads and resources.

You can also help by speaking to your local rescue centres and vets and letting them know that RAW is happening and a great opportunity to improve the lives of rabbits, all over the country.

We’re really looking forward to the 10th Anniversary Rabbit Awareness Week on 18-20 June, 2016. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for updates and news.
