However, if your catio covers more than 50% of your garden, is in your front garden, or you live in a listed building or conservation area, check with your local council first. Our standard models are designed to fall within permitted development guidelines.

Yes, absolutely. Our catios use robust 16-gauge galvanised steel mesh with 1-inch spacing – specifically designed to be fox-proof. Foxes cannot bite through or tear the mesh, and the fully enclosed design (including roof) prevents anything jumping in from above. Many customers in fox-heavy areas report their catios have stood up to curious foxes without any issues.

Most of our catios take 2-4 hours to assemble with two people and basic tools (electric screwdriver).
